Matthew 13:9-16  Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

CONCLUSION

Romans 10:17

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Many believed not the gospel because no understanding was given to them by the Holy Spirit.

Hebrew 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him…… The logic behind this statement is if I am a successful Doctor, I should be pleased with my son if he becomes a doctor.
In the same vein, if God is pleased with His children who has faith, then it's a case of "like father, like son" He is no doubt God of Faith.
He created man in His own image for the purpose of man doing what He does even greater ones.
Joh 14:12 ¶ Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Yes to develop faith we must learn and master the process of doing so from our father. How? By studying, understanding, and mastering his work of CREATION i.e bringing into existence what is not in existence!
This can be broken down into following process:
identify need and problem Gen. 1:2
Inspiration and motivation to proffer solution Gen.1:3-4
Conception and evolution of ideas Gen 1:20-25
Implementation of sustainable solutions Gen.1:26
Evaluation, management and projection of future course of actions. Gen.2:16-19, Gen.3
Development of great faith is exactly a replication of process of creation. After creating man God blessed him and commissioned him to use the same process He used in creation to build and manage earth into the image of heaven. Gen.1:28-30.
Man has a mission of replicating the creation process on earth.
Hence, in conclusion Man cannot achieve his divine purpose without FAITH, and by extension he cannot please his commissioner-GOD.

The following are those who saw with the spirits eyes:
1. The woman with the issue of blood Luke 8:43- 45
2. Abraham, the father of faith
3. Elisha and Gehazi his servant. 2King 6:17
4. Peter ( "Flesh and blood" remark)Math.16:17
5.Anna in Siloh.
Because Faith remains greatest temptation for man, the doctrine of " to whom much is given, to whom much is expected is strictly attached to it"
If you doubt this ask Apostle Paul 2Cor.12:9 and John the Baptist.
Little wonder again why the scripture called anyone who does not believe in God "FOOL", simply because he could not see with his spirit's eyes, soul's eyes and physical eyes.
1king 6:20 And when they had come into Samaria, Elisha said, Lord, open the eyes of these men that they may see. And the Lord opened their eyes, and they saw. Behold, they were in the midst of Samaria!
Anyone who could not see with any of the three level eyes is as good as one without sanity! A blind man should have excuse of not believing God, because he can't see with his physical eyes, but what of his soul's and spirit's eyes, blind Bathemeus shall be a witness against such blind on the day of judgement. Little wonder again it will be very difficult for anyone to have excuse to escape consequence of neglecting the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, because the three form of eyes shall form a cloud of witnesses against such person! Hebrew 12:1
Seing is believing and believing is seing indeed!!!

STILL ON FAITH: Believing versus Seeing (1)
Revelation and visions were given to prophets like Daniel, David, Moses, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Apostle Paul, John etc, in audio-visual format, but they are expected to deliver the message in audio and text format to the whole world who is obligated to believe.
Where is the wisdom in this? Why can't revelational message be delivered in the same format it was given especially now that we have supportive technologies.
This is how I come to conclusion that the grestest temptation for man is FAITH. John 3:16.
This is why faith is always accompanied with GRACE. Eph. 2:8
Jesus, said if you believe, you will see the glory of God.
Faith literarily involves first seing with the eyes of our other beings before seing with our physical eyes.
For example, seing with soul's eyes (mental insght) involves using past and present record to arrive at logical conclusion to control the future outcome of events.
While seing with spirits eyes comes as a fruit and gift of Holy Spirit.
2Kings 5:26.Elisha said to him, Did not my spirit go with you when the man turned from his chariot to meet you? Was it a time to accept money, garments, olive orchards, vineyards, sheep, oxen, menservants, and maidservants?

From input of many authority sources, TRUTH can be said to be correct position or reality about something which is a subject of controversies.
Jesus amidst of controversies on his personality declared:
John  14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

There are some salient features about TRUTH that is noteworthy:
1.Truth is independent of every other associative factors.
2.Truth cannot be changed because even after the evidences are destroyed the truth still remained that they were destroyed.
3. Truth does not show sympathy to ignorance
4.Truth does not respect believe systems of man.
5.Truth is not sensitive to limitation or error in human perception ability.e.g controversy over the shape of the earth.
6.Truth cannot be hidden forever.
Matthew  10:26  Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.

John  18:37  Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.  
John  18:38  Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.

2 Corinthians  13:8  For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.

There is a popular old adage that says " seing is believing". But how true is this?
Is it always true that what man senses organ percieve is the TRUTH?
A little experiment on visual illusion can help us, may be?
Take a look at picture below and tell whether you are seeing straight line or not?
Apparently the lines are bend but TRUELY the lines are straight. You can confirm by placing straight ruler on the edges of the lines to confirm.

Little wonder the Bible advised:
2 Corinthians  5:7  (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

There is something surprisingly outstanding about Jesus: Of all men who have have made self declarative statement about their divinity, He is the only one who still remains relevant, more than 2000 years after.
Remember that if Jesus is the truth as he claimed and He is,
Your believe system, your perception, your ignorance and many more will not matter and will also not be an excuse.
A very simple way of knowing the truth is by testing it.
You are free to make your choice  but can't at the same time be free from the responsibility of consequences of your choice.

Psalms 19:1-3  The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

Consciousness of existence of God is currently passing through various vanishing stages in minds of humanity. Categories of belief system now exist on the subject. Some believe, some don't believe, some have forgotten while some don't care. Even among those who claim they believe versions of self styled belief system exist.

Hence, for those who belong to the school of thought of seeing is believing, psalm 19 above provides a great clue. However such category of people should be humbled enough to learn in reverse. In academia this is known as posteriori, i. e learn from effect to cause.

In the coming months various events shall dominate media which shall undermine faith in God by the feeble minded. Events such as New World order,  UFO, Alien invasion, Genetic engineering among others, shall surface.
But for those of us who walk by faith and not by sight, we have just one response to all these: IT IS WRITTEN.

2 Timothy 3: 1.This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2.For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
4.Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5.Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
7.Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

LESSONS FROM THE VIRGINS

Matthew 25:1-2, 13  1.Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
13.Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

1.Virgins are the Church
2.Do we still have 50% of the Church watching today?
3.At His coming the Church generally shall be sleeping, but the significance of extra oil are those who are watching for signs of time.
Matthew 16:3
And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?
4.At Jesus' first coming, the first to know were the sign of the time watchers. The wise men. Little wonder Jesus called the sign of the time watchers WISE VIRGINS.

Matthew 24:32-33  Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

5.In conclusion, Jesus second coming shall likewise be like the first coming, the prepared virgins shall be the wise ones with extra oil of watching out for the signs of His coming. The is the only way to avoid deep spiritual slumber.

KNOWLEDGE IS CRITICAL TO FAITH

Luke 24:25-26, 39  Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

Hebrews 11:3  Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
